Entry from: Fingal Head, Australia Entry Title: "On our own!" Entry: "We left Tony and Rosie's Friday morning. Rosie made us sarnies for lunch and a big pot of bolognese for tea, YUM! We headed North on the Pacific Highway towards Byron Bay. Stopped off at a rest area called New Italy to eat our lunch. We decided then to bypass Byron Bay and head straight to where we were camping 16km North near Mulumbimby, to a place called Macca's camp site. It looked ok on the internet and was 20 dollars a night. When we eventually found the camp site the first thing we saw was a manky old sign outside made out of a bit of old cloth. Straight away Ste didn't like it but we drove in anyway. We could either go left or right on a dirt road. We went left and there was a house on the hill at the top. It was a creepy old shack with loads of junk around it so we carefully retreated and took the other road. We stopped at the camp amenities block to see if we could find someone. There were a few tents but no one in site. The camp kitchen was dirty and rusty with a pad lock on the freezer. Liz went to check out the toilets and there was blood on the wall!
